February 20 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

I will join the class of Professor Banerji at UCLA to speak of the importance of grassroots activism to reclaim our food systems from corporate control, while offering a critique of the food movement’s celebration of animal husbandry and the increased popularity of grazing. University of California Los Angeles Los Angeles, CA United States + Google Map

A couple years ago for Cesar Chavez Day, I developed a vegan tamale workshop that explores social justice along the food chain. Whether because the topics resonate with people or simply because everyone loves tamales, Seed the Commons has since been invited to lead this workshop in partnership with various organizations.
